India Post GDS Eligibility Criteria 2024
Before applying for the position, candidates must concern the following points of India Post GDS 2024 Eligibility Criteria.
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have qualified Secondary Education (10th) with a passing marks in both English and Mathematics.
- Applicants must have qualified 10th class exam from a Government Recognised school education board.
- Applicants should have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard from a recognized board
Required Age-limit:
18 to 40 years
Other Qualification:
- Knowledge of computer
- Knowledge of cycling
Selection Process
- India Post GDS 2024 Selection Process will be carried out on the basis of a system-generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
- There are candidates whose class 10th mark sheet contains the marks as mentioned in each subject or marks and Grades/Points both. In these cases, their total marks would be worked out through the ‘marks obtained’.
- Grades can be calculated using the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner.

India Post GDS Application Process 2024
The aspiring candidates need to go through three stages. The entire India Post GDS 2024 Application Process can be divided in three categories – registration, payment of application fee, and at last, online application. They are also asked to be prepared for the online payment procedure for application. It is Rs. 100/- as per the notification. Each step of the application process is discussed below-
Step 1– Candidates need to visit the official website of Indian Post.
Step 2– Before applying, the candidates must ensure that they are registered.
Step 3– For registration, the candidates need a mobile number (preferably their own), and their own email id.
Step 4– At this point, the candidates are moved to pay the application fee.
Step 5– Now after the payment is done, the candidates can move forward to the Application procedure.
Step 6– Candidates will then be asked to verify their Registration number and mobile number. After this verification, they will be asked for their Division and Exercise preferences.
Step 7– At length, they will be asked to input their recent photographs and signature in a desired size. These are required to complete the process.
